GROOVEPUPPET'S STORY

In the winter of 2000, 5 members of the Lincoln band "One More Time" decided to chage direction. After 7 years of performing 50's & 60's classics, the guys wanted to do more modern tunes, mixed with contemporary horn parts. 

GroovePuppet saw immediate sucess as a high-energy, party band that also performed some of its own original music. The band performed up to 3 nights per week, at all of the biggest venues in Nebraska and Western Iowa. It released a CD of original music at Lincoln's Rococo Theater in the spring of 2003, with over 1,100 fans in attendance.

GP maintains a lighter show schedule these days, as many of the members now have families. The group is very selective on the shows it accepts. But, you are always guaranteed the stage energy and passion it has delivered for more than 15 years.
